GentleWave® Multisonic Ultracleaning® Root Canal Procedure by Sonendo®

Effectively cleaning the deepest, most complex portions 1,2 of the root canal system requires incredible innovation—and we are proud to offer that technology with the GentleWave® Procedure.

The GentleWave Procedure is a state-of-the-art alternative to standard root canal treatment. The ultracleaning technology of the GentleWave Procedure is an advanced combination of fluid dynamics and a broad range of soundwaves that work together to reach into the microscopic spaces 1,2 and remove bacteria, debris and tissue.2 The GentleWave Procedure is so effective at cleaning and disinfecting the root canal system, there’s less chance of failure over time.3

The GentleWave Procedure uses a minimally invasive 1 protocol to access the infected root canal system, which means it is preserving more of the natural tooth and, in doing so, is helping to keep the tooth’s structure strong. With the GentleWave Procedure we can also typically clean and fill the tooth in just one appointment,3 which may reduce the number of appointments required.

Achieving an exceptional level of clean requires advanced endodontics – and that is something we take pride in providing.  Contact us today to discover the GentleWave Difference for youself.

3-D Imaging with Carestream 8100 3D System

The CS 8100 3D system’s focused field of view limits radiation to a specific region of interest, so patients are exposed to the lowest possible radiation dose similar to that of a standard panoramic exam. This system delivers the most accurate three dimensional view of patient’s anatomy for improved diagnosis, treatment planning and predictability.

Digital Radiography

This technology utilizes sensors that instantly transmit the radiographic image of your tooth directly onto an operatory computer monitor. This system lowers the already low dosage radiation needed to take a conventional film. Because these images are digital, they can be enlarged and enhanced to help in the diagnosis and treatment of your tooth. These images are archived in your dental record, and can also be e-mailed to your referring doctor.

Dental Operating Microscopes

Dr. Sridhar uses the dental operating microscope (DOM) for all her endodontic procedures. The DOM, which has revolutionized endodontics, magnifies the tooth up to 25 times.  The enhanced magnification, along with fiber optic illumination, is helpful in treating intricate root canal anatomies. This allows her to operate with precision and clean the canals more thoroughly, thus delivering the best care possible today.

Instruments

Nickel-titanium instruments

These instruments have helped to revolutionize endodontics. They have greater flexibility than the standard stainless instruments, allowing more efficient cleaning and shaping of the canals.

These instruments are able to follow the different curves and bends that are encountered. This will allow for more complete removal of bacteria and any debris that accumulates in canals.

Electric motors and handpieces

These instruments are used along with the nickel-titanium files. Being electric, the motor’s speed and torque can be easily managed, resulting in more control in cleaning root canals.

Apex Locators

These are instruments that can electronically help determine where the end, or terminus, of the root is located. This is most critical in successful endodontic therapy.

Ultrasonics

These devices help in locating canals, removing obstructions from canals and in cleaning canals.

System B Gutta Percha Condensation System / B&L Biotech Obturation System

The System B Heat Source is a convenient, reliable and accurate condensation system for the root canal filling material (Gutta Percha). The system allows the endodontist to dial in the exact temperature setting, which it maintains throughout the procedure.

The B&L Biotech Obturation system is a cordless root canal filling device used to deliver thermoplastic Gutta Percha into the root canal system.
